Martial arts training, particularly Taekwondo, offers several benefits to children. The physical benefits of Taekwondo are immediately noticeable. Basic self-defense moves of Taekwondo, such as kicking, punching, striking and blocking enhance strength and teach co-ordination. As children become more advanced, they will learn more dynamic techniques, such as combinations and jumping and spinning kicks, which improve agility and speed
The mental benefits are more apparent with prolonged training. Parents often comment that their children become more focussed. Taekwondo also builds confidence and self-esteem as well as self-discipline, respect, concentration and courtesy.
Children with special needs, such as ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), learning difficulties and hyperactivity are often recommended to participate in martial arts for kids because of the clear benefits in its structured training techniques.

Taekwondo is ideal for children who do not do well in team sports, giving them the ability to flourish this activity, while combining physical and mental practices.
Taekwondo practice is extremely individual and personal to each child. Everyone participates equally in class and each child's goal and achievement is unique and personal to him or herself.
We monitor each child's progress carefully and set individualised goals for them to achieve. Our objective is to help all our students reach their full potential as a martial artist, as well as a gracious individuals.
